ChiEmi Beauty started more than a decade ago with two sisters — Chidi and Emi Wosu — and a simple dream: to make beauty feel like it truly belongs to everyone.

In high school, Chidi couldn’t find any class that sparked her passion — until she discovered cosmetology. Meanwhile, her sister Emi had a natural gift for doing hair and makeup, so the two joined forces. Together, they began styling hair and creating makeup looks for friends and events throughout college.

What began as a creative outlet soon became a calling.

As women of color, they both knew how hard it was to find products that actually matched their skin — foundations were too light, undertones were off, and most beauty counters didn’t know what to do with deeper complexions. That frustration became fuel for their vision.

The Birth of ChiEmi Beauty

Named after the blend of their own names — Chidi and Emi — ChiEmi Beauty was created to celebrate every shade of beauty. From the beginning, their mission has been clear:

To make products that look good, feel good, and work beautifully on all skin tones.

Over the years, both sisters turned their passion into expertise. Chidi became a certified makeup artist, while Emi earned her license as a professional cosmetologist. Together, they’ve merged artistry and science to create products that enhance natural beauty, nurture confidence, and honor individuality.

Every formula is cruelty-free, skin-loving, and crafted with inclusivity in mind — because real beauty doesn’t exclude, it embraces.
